There are 4 questions in my physics homework booklet.

Q1. Explain the difference between thermionic and solid-state devices, and why solid-state devices have replaced thermionic devices.
Q2. a) List three disadvantages of thermionic devices that led to their replacement.
       b) Outline one advantage of using superconductors, with reference to two applications (OMG)
Q3. Explain why solid state devices have largely replaced thermionic devices. (doh!)
Q4. a) Describe the major shortcomings of valves such as triodes. (guess what valves are? That's right - thermionic devices)
       b) Outline the advantages of solid-state devices such as transistors have over valves.

ARGHHHHHH x.x
